In 2012, New Jersey Library moved to a great new venue—the popular spot of Atlantic City—but was late in picking their dates and ended up at the exact same time as BookExpo America, which is not only a bigger show with a few more attractions, but one that’s only a stone’s throw away from most of NJ’s residents. In 2013 however, NJLA got a jump on the dates and is occurring AFTER BookExpo. That, combined with the new venue, and the recent restoration of over $4 million in public funding (bringing the total to over $8 million), plays into the hand of this year’s fair being a great one. The show regularly tops one thousand in attendance, and 2013 should be no different. New Jersey Library Association 2013 can proved to be one of the great book fair for the residents of New Jersey.
