Denigrating Magnificent Heinz Hall

It is sad and unfortunate that Pittsburgh's opulent Heinz Hall was cheapened by the appearance of Lewis Black on Jan. 12, a man who is so defined by profanity that he is unable to conduct an interview without portions of his quotes being excised in order for them to be suitable for a family newspaper.

Profanity is the cheapest means of securing laughs, something which need not be resorted to by someone as talented and savvy as Mr. Black. Its prevalence is a strong component in rendering ours a more coarse, crude, disrespectful society.

I suspect H. J. Heinz is turning over in his grave over the hall that bears his name hosting a vulgarian. Apparently the name, "Heinz Hall for the Performing Arts" should be shortened to, "Heinz Hall - Anything Goes!" I see no "performing art" in the act of Lewis Black.
