After a disappointing double-overtime loss to undefeated Bethel Park by a score of 5-4, the girls team bounced back strongly against Brashear.
The starting line-up had an all-senior flair as Ellie Blake kicked the game off with fellow classmates Carley Bogan and Alaina D’Aloiso, who started the game at forward.
In midfield, the class of 2013 was represented by Meghan Allwes, Becca DeGregorio, Ellie DiNardo, Rebekah Walsh and Sammi Witsberger.

The Panthers quickly demonstrated their skill and class as they jumped to a 1-0 lead in the 6th minute of play. Sammi Witsberger scored her first of two goals off an assist from Ellie DiNardo. Olivia Belack then scored from the result of a long pass from Carley Bogan, in what was a memorable play to watch. Sammi Witsberger scored again off a series off passes beginning with Belack through Bogan. Emma Hasco scored from a feed by DiNardo to close the first half scoring, which ended at 4-0 USC.
