The Death of "The Iron Lady", A Woman That Changed the World
A Leader of The Thatcher/Reagan Conservative Alliance Dies After a Long Illness
The death of Great Britain's extraordinary former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher causes admirers and foes alike to reflect upon the extent to which "The Iron Lady" changed the world.
Mrs. Thatcher's tenure coincided with that of fellow conservative, the late U. S. President Ronald Reagan. Both individuals believed in lifting up their nations with a positive, upbeat, "can-do" spirit and with personal responsibility as a basic tenet.
The alliance between the two world leaders was strong, rooted not only in shared beliefs, but in the deep admiration and affection that they had for each other and for each other's core beliefs.

I recently had the privilege of visiting the magnificent Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, California, which brought further into focus the links and deep bond between the two individuals. Margaret Thatcher's public service epitomized the stirring 1961 Inauguration words of John F. Kennedy, "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country." This forgotten passage is reconsidered today as the world mourns a great and strong leader, Lady Margaret Thatcher. There shall never be another like her.
