Upper St. Clair Beats Oakland Catholic, 4-0

Easy win in first round of playoffs.

The USC girls soccer team dominated Oakland Catholic on Saturday, Oct. 22 at USC stadium. With perfect soccer weather and a good crowd on hand, USC scored two in the first half and two in the second half to go on to win 4-0.

The Panthers' first goal came 17 minutes into the game when Kristen Walczak took a direct kick from 30 yards out and placed it perfectly in the upper left corner of the goal. Ten minutes later, Hannah Wilhelm scored off of a corner served up by Ellie DiNardo. The half ended 2-0 as the Panthers controlled play.

In the second half, Carley Bogan scored on a nice pass from Hannah Zangara. Bogan scored again on a breakaway with 14 minutes left in the game. She waited for the keeper to commit and calmly placed the ball in the right side of the net. It was a very impressive victory for the Panthers.
