USC Crew Team Brings Home Medals

The Upper St Clair High School Crew team won three medals and placed fourth overall this weekend in the Pittsburgh Indoor Rowing Championship.

The Upper St. Clair High School crew team competed last the weekend at the Pittsburgh Indoor Rowing Championship, held at North Catholic High School and sponsored by Three Rivers Rowing Association. Fourteen area high schools competed. 

The team placed fourth in overall points and won three individual medals. Paul VanRyzin won silver in the Men's Varsity race. Lorrie Pollock won bronze in the Women's Lightweight Novice race and Helena Zatawski won gold in the Women's Lightweight JV race.

The team continues their indoor winter training to prepare for the North Allegheny Indoor Rowing Championship in March.
