Wine and Beer Tasting Fundraiser Hosted by USC Crew Parents

Enjoy specialty wines and craft beers from local distributors at Rolling Hills Country Club on March 24th.

Two years ago, the high school crew team was in dire straits. Some of the racing shells in their aging fleet were beyond repair and new ones were out of reach for the team. The helps team members cover some of our operating costs and adds to our capital fund, but wouldn't be enough to cover the much-needed new equipment. Some of the parents organized an evening adult fundraiser to help. The first two were so successful, that the team has been able to purchase two new shells. With our capital funds depleted, parents continue the tradition of an evening out to help raise money for the team.

Now in it's third year, the Upper St Clair Crew Team adult fundraiser promises to be a great time for all. Team parents are hosting a Wine and Beer Tasting at Rolling Hills Country Club in McMurray on Saturday, March 24 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person and include hors d'ouvres, domestic and international craft beers to sample from Fuhrer-Eagle Sales and Service, and wine tasting of select specialty wines from Capital Wine and Spirits, D'Andrea Wine and Liquor Imports, and Southern Wine and Spirits. Wines sampled that evening will be available for purchase to be picked up at a later date. A cash bar will also be available throughout the evening.

A 50/50 raffle, Chinese auction and silent auction will also held. Items up for bid include: a Pittsburgh Penguins mini-helmet autographed by Marc-Andre Fleury, a Steelers football signed by Mike Wallace, gift certificates to area restaurants, movie passes, gourmet gift baskets and much more. Don't forget your checkbooks! All payments during the event must be payable by check to USC Crew Team. Your support helps keep the team on the water and ensures that Upper St Clair High School continues its strong presence in the rowing community.
