Costumed Canines for a Good Cause

Bring your dog and join the fun in South Park this weekend.

Dog lovers are invited to the 4th Annual Pooch Parade and Picnic at nearby South Park on Sunday, Oct. 14.

This family-friendly event features a one mile fun walk to benefit the Myasthenia Gravis Association of Western Pennsylvania. MGA is a private, non-profit that provides treatment and support services to those with myasthenia gravis—a chronic autoimmune muscle weakness disorder.

All registered participants will receive morning refreshments, a goodie bag, a sweatshirt and a bandana for their dog. The event features a costume contest with prizes for best dog and best dog/owner combo costumes. There will be fabulous raffles of gift baskets, Steelers tickets and a Myrtle Beach vacation. A variety of vendors will be on hand to provide information and products of interest to dog owners.
