Instructor: Cindy Egeland - AFAA certified, more than 20 years of teaching experience; training specialty in exercise safety.
This class will utilize a variety of equipment, all provided, in a systematic approach to strengthening and stretching major upper, mid, and lower body muscle groups. Class begins with a warm-up and ends with full-body stretch and relaxation. Please wear appropriate exercise footwear and bring a mat. No previous exercise experience is required.
According to the Mayo Clinic, strength training is a key component to reducing body fat, increasing lean muscle mass, and burning calories more efficiently, and is therefore an important part of overall health and fitness for all ages. Strength training also helps to develop strong bones, control weight, boost your stamina, manage chronic conditions, and sharpen focus.
