UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - When school resumes in a few weeks, students at Upper St. Clair High School will have a new assistant principal. Daniel Zelenski, a social studies teacher at the high school, was appointed to succeed Christine Mussomeli, who was named assistant principal at Upper St. Clair’s Boyce Middle School.
Zelenski has taught at the high school since 2009 and also has served as an assistant football coach, student leadership academy facilitator, student support services team case manager and Upper St. Clair Education Association vice president.
“Mr. Zelenski has been an integral member of our faculty for the last several years,” high school principal Louis Angelo said in a statement. “We look forward to his continued contributions as a valuable member of our administrative team.”
A University of Pittsburgh graduate, Zelenski holds a bachelor’s degree in history and political science and a master’s degree in teaching. He has been nominated for several awards, including the Pennsylvania Teacher of Excellence Award, Nobel Educator of Distinction Award and the Consortium for Public Education Leadership Award.
