106 Snow Violations Written In Warminster

WARMINSTER, PA — For 106 people in Warminster, Monday's snow day had a bigger down side than just having to scrape the windshield and shovel the driveway.

The township had issued 106 snow violations Monday morning from the time a snow emergency was declared on Sunday afternoon, Township Manager Gregg Schuster said.

The snow emergency went into effect in Warminster at 6 p.m. on Sunday. During snow emergencies, on-street parking is prohibited in the township. The ban lasts until streets have been cleared from curb to curb.

Schuster announced on Facebook that the emergency will be rescinded Monday at 10 a.m.

On Sunday, Schuster tried to remind residents of the street-parking restrictions by making a joke about another ongoing issue in Warminster — the recent changes to trash and recycling pickup.

"Cars parked on the street at that time could be ticketed or confiscated and converted into red trash cans," Schuster wrote.
