4 Catalytic Converters Stolen In Past Month In Warminster Township
The thefts continue a crime trend that has plagued Warminster for several months. Police said the converters were valued at nearly $12,000.

WARMINSTER, PA —The catalytic converter crime trend continues.
The Warminster Township Police Department reported four catalytic converter thefts in its police blotter of criminal incidents for the period of Nov. 27 to Dec. 18. The converters were valued at $11,600.
- On Dec. 13, police said a catalytic converter was stolen from a 2006 Toyota in the parking lot of the Giant Food Store. The value was $800. Police are investigating.
- On Dec. 10, police said a catalytic converter was stolen from a Chevy Silverado Pickup from an industrial complex off Madison Avenue. The value is said to be $4,800. Police are investigating.
- On Dec. 5, police said a catalytic converter was stolen from a Ford F600 which was parked in an industrial complex off Madison Avenue. The value was $4,000. Police are investigating.
- On Nov. 27, police said a catalytic converter was stolen from a 2011 VW Jetta from the Madison Court Apartment complex. The value is $2,000. Police are investigating.
Last month, the police department reported "multiple" catalytic converter thefts in different sections of the township between Nov. 14 and 26.

Police said the crime can be done within 3-5 minutes. Police said the converters are then sold for scrap, mainly for the rare metals inside them.
In mid-September, police were saying that catalytic converter thefts were on the rise in Warminster and Lower Bucks County.

In early October, catalytic converters were stolen from five Centennial School District buses.
