'Multiple' Catalytic Converter Thefts Throughout Warminster: Police
Warminster Township Police said the thefts took place between Nov. 14-26, adding to a tally of similar crimes over the past three months.

WARMINSTER, PA —The police department might not be alone in reporting this crime category throughout Bucks County. But it's certainly become a popular one in the township.
The Warminster Township Police Department reported Monday about "multiple" catalytic converter thefts reported in different sections of the township between Nov. 14 and 26.
Police said they are investigating the converter thefts and others that have occurred recently. In a recent police blotter, Warminster reported two more crimes, adding to a tally of a rash of catalytic converter thefts in the past three months.

Police said the crime can be done within 3-5 minutes. Police said the converters are then sold for scrap, mainly for the rare metals inside them.
Police did not provide details of how many converters were swiped between mid-November and Saturday nor any details about the incidents.
In mid-September, police were saying that catalytic converter thefts were on the rise in Warminster and Lower Bucks County.
In early October, catalytic converters were stolen from five Centennial School District buses.
