5 Fun Things To Do In Bucks County This Weekend

BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Santa, Santa, Santa.

"Oh By Gosh, By Golly" —Santa Claus is everywhere this weekend.

It's going to be all about jolly old Saint Nick over the next two weeks. But before Santa hops on his sleigh and joins Rudolph and company to deliver presents on Christmas morning, he's going to be riding in a lot of fire trucks this weekend, appearing on trains, singing with children, and even sharing breakfast with their families.

Santa is appearing in Warminster and Upper Southampton townships and a host of other communities on both days this weekend. You can also see Saint Nick on numerous occasions at Peddler's Village in Lahaska —and even share a meal with him!

The Third District Volunteer Fire Company will escort Santa around Bristol Township on Saturday starting at 3 p.m. The Croydon Fire Company in Bensalem is holding a breakfast with Santa on Sunday as well. (Check with your town, though, because some winter weather Sunday might wipe out some Santa tours.)

Since we're all in the holiday spirit, there's still time to catch a production of Irving Berlin's classic "White Christmas" at the Bucks County Playhouse. Or go see Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits perform on Sunday at the Sellersville Theater.

Santa Touring Neighborhoods On Fire Trucks In Warminster, Upper Southampton Twp.

Warminster Township's two fire companies are ready to take Santa Claus into the neighborhoods. The Warminster Fire Department will showcase Santa on Sunday, Dec. 17, while the Hartsville Fire Company is showcasing Santa on both days. Meanwhile, in Upper Southampton Township, Santa Claus will be escorted by the Southampton Fire Company on Saturday. Check with your community to see whether Santa is appearing. "White Christmas" At Bucks County Playhouse

The Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope is full of holiday spirit with a new production of the beloved holiday musical, “Irving Berlin’s White Christmas,” which debuted on Nov. 13 and runs through Dec. 31. Based on the classic Hollywood movie musical, “Irving Berlin’s White Christmas” is a technicolor, Broadway musical extravaganza. With music and lyrics by Irving Berlin and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake, “White Christmas” contains some Berlin’s most popular tunes including "Blue Skies," "I Love a Piano," "How Deep is the Ocean?” ''Count Your Blessings” and the title song, “White Christmas.” (Read this Patch story for more details.)

Last Weekend For Hortulus Farm European Holiday Market

It's the last weekend for the European Holiday Market that is part of the "Christmas at Hortulus Farm and Nursery" in Wrightstown Township. The market, which is free and open to the public, is bringing more than 30 vendors to the nursery's heated greenhouses each weekend. The special weekends are held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. (Read this Patch story for more details)

An Olde English Christmas with Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone

The Sellersville Theater is holding a holiday concert featuring Herman's Hermits and Peter Noone. The show is at 3 p.m. Sunday with doors opening at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are between $65 and $79.50. Universally regarded as one of rock and roll’s finest and most versatile entertainers, Noone’s gem-filled performances are a must-see concert experience. Holiday Happenings At Peddler's Village This Weekend

Peddler's Village in Lahaska has plenty of opportunities to spend some quality time with Santa. You can have a family brunch with him from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, take photos with him at Gingleberry Fair Saturday and Sunday and even sing with Santa on Saturday night.
