5 Fun Things To Do In Bucks County This Weekend

From winter farmers markets to an Aerosmith tribute band, Bucks County offers several weekend events to kick off the new year.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Happy New Year!

As we enter the first weekend of 2024, we all might have to weather the storm. Weekend plans might drive many of us indoors Saturday night and Sunday if the forecast holds up and Bucks County receives lots of rain or a few inches of snow or, something we haven't seen in these parts for some time.

That's where Peddler's Village in Lahaska comes to mind for this weekend and next weekend too. Check out its Fire & Frost Fun event which features everything icy.

While the holidays may be over, there's still time to catch the annual holiday lights show at Shady Brook Farm in Lower Makefield Township and the last weekend of "A Very Fury Christmas" at Sesame Place in Middletown Township.

It's also winter farmers market season and you can find two in Bucks County on Saturday: Doylestown and Yardley.

If you're in the mood for music, Parx Casino's Excite Center in Bensalem Township has an Aerosmith tribute band performing Saturday night.

See Aerosmith Tribute Band At ExCite Center Saturday

While Steven Tyler continues to rest his vocal cords so Aerosmith can resume its Farewell Tour, you can see the next best thing at Parx Casino's Excite Center in Bensalem Township. Pump, the Ultimate Aerosmith tribute show band, performs at 8 p.m. Saturday. Formed in New York City in 2012, Pumps offers an energetic stage show, focusing on all of the 50 years of Aerosmith, while offering an interactive audience setlist. Expect to hear the hits, the ballads, and some rare album tracks from the group's catalog.

Shady Brook Farm Holiday Light Show

It might be the show of shows in Bucks County. There's still time to catch the annual Shady Brook Farm Holiday Light Show in Lower Makefield Township which features "millions of dazzling lights" that can be seen via a vehicle drive-through, a wagon ride, and even a private wagon ride. Winter Markets Saturday In Doylestown, Yardley

The Doylestown Winter Market returns for its third season. Meanwhile, the Yardley Winter Market is also going on Saturday. Both events are free to attend. Check out numerous local vendors for fruits, and vegetables and some of the freshest products that Bucks County has to offer.

Peddler's Village Hosting Fire & Frost Fun Saturday

Peddler's Village in Lahaska will become a winter wonderland during Fire & Frost Fun — four magical evenings filled with frosty masterpieces and fiery performances. The event takes place on Friday and Saturday evenings, and features dozens of ice sculptures (including an ice throne and bar), ice carving demonstrations, fire artistry, a scavenger hunt, and outdoor food and drinks.
