Butterfly House At Churchville Nature Center Opens Saturday

The Butterfly House will officially open Saturday, July 8, after its opening was delayed by a week. Being a native species butterfly house means that the Churchville Nature Center in Northampton Township follows the natural lifecycle of its butterflies. Due to this season's environmental conditions, there were few adult butterflies flying in the house. But the butterflies are back.

The Butterfly House will be open from Tuesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Sept. 16. (The center is closed on Mondays.)

Visitors can linger in the house and surrounding enclosure for as long as desired, during the hours of operation. Tours can be requested but since the Butterfly House is an open-air facility, tours may be affected by weather. Members of Churchville Nature Center can visit the Butterfly House often for free. Admission to the Butterfly House for non-members: $8 Adults, $6 Seniors, and $5 for children (4-13 years of age; under 4 are free). Active Military Personnel are free. See the center's website for more information.
