EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA —This weekend marks a celebration of a sort in the Philadelphia region.

Warminster Township in Bucks County will celebrate itself with Warminster Day on Saturday. Bristol Borough will celebrate the 200th anniversary of Revolutionary War Hero Marquis de Lafayette's return to the United States.

There's also the first-ever state celebration of chocolate and coffee.

Warminster Day And Touch A Truck Set For Saturday

Warminster Community Park is the place to be Saturday for the double whammy of a township celebration. The annual Warminster Day —now combined with a Touch a Truck event —kicks off at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bristol Road park and runs until 3 p.m. Last year marked the 20th anniversary of the event. Parks Director Jessica Fox has taken great pride in expanding the event, which is a major draw for residents of the township and surrounding communities. The event will include Live Music, Bounce Houses, Mini-Golf, Bucks Bubbles Foam Party, Balloon Twisting, Character Photos, Food Trucks, a Vendor Marketplace, and more! Bristol To Celebrate Bicentennial Of Lafayette's Visit

Bristol Borough will mark the 200th anniversary of a Revolutionary War hero Marquis de Lafayette's return with a parade on Sunday. The celebration is part of the National Lafayette 200 Celebration, a 13-month-long bicentennial honoring Lafayette’s triumphant return to the United States. Beginning in New York City and spanning the original 24 states he visited during his 1824-1825 tour, each event reaffirms Lafayette’s enduring legacy of freedom, equality, and human rights. This grand celebration promises to be one of the most memorable events in Bristol Borough's storied history, bringing together the charm of this historic riverfront town and the timeless legacy of Lafayette, organizers said. "All Creatures Pet Fest" At Peddler's Village Saturday

WHYY will celebrate its 70th anniversary with a special event, an "All Creatures Pet Fest" with morning edition host and producer Jennifer Lynn, taking place on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 12 to 3:30 p.m. The family-friendly fall event invites pet lovers and their pets to join the festivities while celebrating the PBS series, "All Creatures Great and Small." The event takes place at Peddler's Village at Rt. 202 and 265 in Lahaska 18931. Festivities will include ask-a-vet, pet costume contest, adoptions, giveaways, pet-themed vendors and other surprises. Community Day At John James Audubon Center Sunday
