6 Fun Things To Do In Bucks County This Weekend
Check out events in Bucks County for Father's Day and Juneteenth, from exhibits and tours to plays and car shows.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Happy Father’s Day and Happy Juneteenth.
With two big holidays and a three-day weekend for most people, it’s the perfect time to use that extra time to check out some fun and cool events in Bucks County this weekend.
It’s also National Pride Month and they’ll be listening to the music in Doylestown on Pride Music Day.

While fathers in Bucks County may be taken to baseball games or barbecues or given ties as presents, one town is offering a tour. Fathers seem to love car shows too!
And while we remember our fathers, there's a last chance to get nostalgic about a great player from the Philadelphia Eagles of yesteryear and the friend he made at training camp with the play "Tommy and Me" at the Bucks County Playhouse.

Meanwhile, Sesame Street has a Juneteeth exhibit in conjunction with the Bucks County African American Museum. If you don't want to wait until Monday, Washington Crossing is hosting a Juneteenth event below on Saturday. There's also a free Juneteenth celebration at Mercer Museum in Doylestown and a Juneteenth Festival on the Bristol Waterfront on Sunday.
Historical Society Plans Father's Day Tour In New Hope
The New Hope Historical Society will present a special Father's Day Walking Tour of Historic New Hope that will highlight four fathers in New Hope history whose lives helped enhance the town’s development and reputation over the past three centuries.
The tour steps off at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 18 from the Parry Mansion on South Main Street.
"By paying tribute to them and their lives the Historical Society celebrates all fathers on their special day," said tour guide Roy Ziegler. (Read more on Patch.)

Check Out Vintage Vehicles At Classic Car Show in Langhorne Saturday
The Langhorne Borough Business Association will take the borough's historic streets back in time Saturday with a car show showing vintage vehicles and all makes and models. Organizers promise that the event on Maple Avenue from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 17, will feature "great cars, great music, and great fun." No ticket is required and the event is free for spectators.
Music is by The Chain Gang and there will be prize classes for Stock, Modified, Work in Progress, 4x4, Best of Show Stock, and Best of Show Modified.

Last Shows of Ray Didinger's "Tommy And Me" At Bucks County Playhouse
The Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope is holding the last few shows Friday and Saturday of award-winning sports journalist Ray Didinger’s autobiographical play, “Tommy and Me.” from May 19 to June 20.
Directed by Nick Corley, the production will chronicle a seminal period in Didinger’s lifelong friendship with Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Famer, Tommy McDonald.
Seats are still available for Tommy and Me on Friday, June 16, at 8 p.m., and Saturday, June 17 at 2 and 8 p.m. Show ends on June 17. There is no show on Father's Day. (Read more on Patch.)

Doylestown Kicks Off 4th Pride Festival With Pride Music Day Saturday
Doylestown welcomes the return of its Pride Festival, which kicks off Saturday with Pride Music Day. The Pine Street music event takes place from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, June 17. Pride Music Day 2023 is organized in partnership with Picnics on Pine and sponsored by Restore Dispensaries.
Doors for the show will open at 4:30 p.m. Picnic spots are first come first serve. Attendees must provide their own chairs and blankets for picnicking. Bring what you need to comfortably enjoy a picnic without obstructing others' views. Pride Music Day is a rain or shine event, no refunds will be given. Doylestown's Pride Festival runs from June 17 to June 25. Click here for ticket information.

Celebrate Juneteenth at Washington Crossing Historic Park Saturday
In honor of Juneteenth, Washington Crossing Historic Park will host two free special events on Saturday, June 17, that will educate visitors about the contribution of African American soldiers during the American Revolution.
The event begins at 3:30 p.m. in the park’s Visitor Center auditorium with a free lecture about the contribution of Black soldiers to the American Revolution. Presenters will include reenactor and first-person historian Noah Lewis and Linda Salley, president and executive director of the African American Museum of Bucks County. Space is limited and registration is required.
At 5 p.m., jazz vocalist Joyce Simpson and The Quake Band will perform a free outdoor concert on the park’s riverbank. During the concert, park reenactors will share short presentations about the role Black soldiers played in the Revolution.
No registration is required for the concert. Attendees are welcome to bring their own chairs and blankets. Alcohol is not permitted in the park. Food will be available from Daddy’s Kitchen and M&E Edibles Cake DeZigns and Catering. Four-legged friends are welcome but must be leashed and under control at all times.

Juneteenth Exhibit By Bucks Museum On Display At Sesame Place
The African American Museum of Bucks County is presenting “The Journey to Juneteenth,” an exhibit about the history and significance of the June 19 federal holiday in partnership with Sesame Place, a Middletown Township-based amusement park, which is also holding its Elmo’s Springtacular through Sunday.
The exhibit started being displayed to the general public in the Sesame Studio Theater on Monday and will remain until June 28. (Read more on Patch.)
