Almshouse Road Closing For 2 Weeks, Detours Planned

WARMINSTER, PA —A drainage pipe replacement project begins Monday on Route 332 in nearby Northampton Township that may cause havoc for township drivers over the next few weeks, PennDOT said.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that Almshouse Road will be closed starting Monday, leading to detours for drivers.

  • Monday, July 8, through Saturday, July 20, a 24/7 road closure is scheduled on Almshouse Road between Second Street Pike and Jacksonville Road.

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Jacksonville Road, Bristol Road, and Route 232 (Second Street Pike) to avoid the work zone.

During the construction, Almshouse Road will be open to local traffic between Second Street Pike and Hatboro Road, including access to Tanner’s store. The main closure will be between Hatboro Road and Jacksonville Road where the work will be taking place.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
