Amazon Launches Community Fund for Bucks County Initiatives

Individuals, groups, and nonprofits in Bucks County can apply for grants from Amazon's new $100,000 community fund.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Bucks County individuals and organizations can now apply for funding through the newly launched Amazon Bucks County Community Fund.

Amazon committed $100,000 to this grant program, which supports local initiatives in the county.

The fund represents Amazon's initial community fund aimed at supporting projects that foster positive change in Bucks County.

Nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply for grants up to $10,000. Individuals and community groups can seek funding up to $5,000.

Project themes include culture and heritage, digital skills, education and access, health and wellbeing, sustainability and environment, STEM, and hunger. Applicants may also request funding to introduce established community programs that have succeeded elsewhere.

Lisa Schooley, Community Engagement Manager at Amazon, stated,

"We're thrilled to launch the Amazon Bucks County Community Fund and put resources directly into the hands of local change makers," said Lisa Schooley, Amazon's community engagement manager.

Schooley added that this initiative reflects Amazon's commitment to supporting innovative programs that increase inclusiveness in communities. She also said Amazon looks forward to seeing the creative solutions that will emerge from Bucks County residents and organizations.

Applications for the Bucks County Community Fund will be accepted until March 30, 2026. The nonprofit organization ChangeX will manage and administer the applications. ChangeX will review submissions and assess them based on funding criteria and their potential positive impact on the community.

An information session about the Amazon Bucks County Community Fund is scheduled for 11 a.m. on March 6 via Zoom.

This initiative is part of Amazon's broader commitment to investing in communities, including workforce development and community impact efforts.

Amazon announced plans in 2025 to invest at least $20 billion in Pennsylvania to expand data center infrastructure for AI and cloud computing, with the Bucks County Community Fund being part of this larger commitment.
