Archbishop Wood High School Hires New Football Coach
Brian Goettner had served as interim coach of the team at the Warminster Township-based high school since September.

WARMINSTER, PA —Archbishop Wood High School has removed the interim tag for its football coach.
Gary Zimmaro, president of the Catholic High School off Street Road, has announced the hiring of Brian Goettner as the new football head coach.
Goettner has been an integral part of the Wood Football Program over the past few years, most recently serving as the interim head coach since September, school officials said.

“After a thorough process with a lot of qualified applicants, Coach Goettner’s values and vision for our Wood Football Program set him apart as we navigated through the hiring process,” Athletic Director Susan O’Neill said. "Coach Goettner has a passion for the program and a keen understanding of its current landscape. We look forward to Coach Goettner’s leadership of our young men, both on and off the field."
Goettner has extensive high school coaching experience, as well as coaching experience spanning the college level to the CYO level. He has also served 15 years as an educator.

“I am honored and grateful to be named the next head football coach at Archbishop Wood. It’s a blessing to be given the opportunity to lead such a historic program. I'm looking forward to getting started,” he said.
Goettner graduated from West Chester University and earned a master's degree in education from Eastern University. He lives in Hatboro with his wife and two children.
