Centennial Called 'Exemplary' For Improving Digital Access
A non-profit group recognized Centennial for making resources more available to students and their families.

WARMINSTER, PA —The Centennial School District has been recognized as an exemplary school district for making resources more accessible to students and families.
The school district was chosen by the Institute for the Study of Knowledge Management in Education as its exemplary school district.
Digital liaisons from Centennial attended a "train-the-trainer" professional development with ISKME this fall. Since then, the district has provided "turn-around training" for faculty and staff in elements of digital accessibility for learning materials and district resources.

The school district's leadership team was also on a webinar by EdWeb.
Bedden, Anthony Gabriele, assistant to the superintendent for teaching and learning, and Joe Rutz, director of teaching and learning, shared their strategies to bring families, educators, students, and board members together to inspire joyful reading.
The three led a strategic effort that brought the Centennial community together over reading and in engaging families in literacy over the summer break.
A selection committee of teachers, parents, and students reviewed and ranked a selection of books to be distributed to students in take-home literacy kits that helped build and expand their home libraries.
