Centennial Maintains 'Strong' Moody's Bond Rating
School officials said Centennial's bond rating is higher than most districts across the country.

WARMINSTER, PA —The Centennial School District has received Aa2 and Prime 1 bond ratings from Moody’s Investor Services, allowing the district to maintain a "strong" rating, the schools superintendent said.
The Aa2 rating, which is the third highest rating assigned by Moody’s, is stronger than the median rating of Aa3 that most school districts in the country are given, school officials
The rating indicates that the Centennial School District is considered a long-term, high-quality, very low credit risk, and has a great ability to repay short-term debt, school officials said.

“A school district bond rating is similar to an individual’s credit score, which would impact a personal loan or mortgage rate. We are delighted to maintain our strong bond rating, which could mean significant savings for our taxpayers if we have the need to borrow funds for projects such as renovations, etc.,” Schools Superintendent Dana T. Bedden said.
Moody's Investors Service is the bond credit rating business of Moody's Corp. The company ranks the creditworthiness of borrowers using a standardized rating scale that measures expected investor loss in the event of default. Moody's Investors Service rates debt securities in several bond market segments. These include government, municipal, and corporate bonds.
