Centennial School District Announces Two New Supervisors of Special Education
The Centennial Board of School Directors approved Michelle Lockett and Rachel Murray for the positions.
The Centennial School District Board of School Directors and District Administration are pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Lockett as a ten-month Supervisor of Special Education and Rachel Murray as a twelve-month Supervisor of Special Education. The Centennial Board of School Directors at its regularly scheduled Board meeting held Tuesday, March 10, 2015, approved Michelle Lockett and Rachel Murray for the positions.
Michelle Lockett and Rachel Murray were identified by an interview team, which was comprised of representatives from Centennial School District parents, faculty, staff, and Board of School Directors, as the top candidates for the positions after an extensive screening process.

Mrs. Lockett began her career as a special education teacher in Centennial School District in September 2004. This position is one she held until September 2014, when she became a Teacher on Special Assignment in the Centennial School District Special Education Department. In addition, she is currently an Adjunct Instructor at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Lockett brings to the position a wealth of practical experience and knowledge of the many facets of special education so that students can achieve their maximum potential.
Mrs. Lockett holds bachelor of arts degrees in elementary education and special education from LaSalle University and a master of science degree in instructional leadership from Neumann University. She obtained supervisor of special education certification through Delaware Valley College.

Mrs. Murray is a highly motivated, special education professional with ten years of experience in teaching and offering support to other teachers and staff. She began her career with the Bucks County Intermediate Unit #22 in 2004 as a teacher of children with autism, and over the years, she progressed to her current position, Program Coordinator for Autism Services for the intermediate unit. Mrs. Murray is a proven leader with specialized expertise in autism spectrum disorders. She is recognized for facilitating collaboration.
Mrs. Murray holds a bachelor degree in special education from West Chester University and a master’s degree in special education—advanced practice from Holy Family University. She is currently completing a supervisor of special education certification program through Delaware Valley College.
