Courts, County Offices Closed In Lower Bucks For Storm

Bucks County officials said that offices are closed and court hearings postponed Tuesday due to the storm. A special election is still on.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —After first deciding on a two-hour delay, Bucks County has decided to make another decision due to Tuesday's storm.

"Due to inclement weather, all Bucks County offices are closed Tuesday," County Spokesman James T. O'Malley said.

He said that all scheduled court proceedings, including those scheduled at any Bucks County Magisterial District Court, are postponed Tuesday. Jurors should not report to the Justice Center.

But O'Malley said the 140th Legislative District special election is still continuing Tuesday.

The National Weather Service of Philadelphia/Mount Holly said that accumulating snow is spreading slowly southeastward across the region presently and should reach the Philadelphia region during the morning rush hour.

"Snow may be falling heavily at that time so please use extra caution this morning," the weather service said. "Conditions on the roads could change very quickly."

The weather service said that snow should end near midday with a much nicer afternoon.
