Dead Birds Poisoned At Warminster Community Park: Police

Warminster Police said numerous dead birds were found Saturday. Feeding stations in an old tower at the park contained poison, police said.

WARMINSTER, PA —Police are investigating numerous dead birds that were poisoned at feeding stations at the tower in Warminster Community Park.

The Warminster Township Police Department and the township's animal control officer were notified of numerous dead birds around feeding stations located by the old NADC tower in Warminster Community Park along Bristol Road on Saturday.

The animal control officer said it appears that the feeding stations contained a poison to kill the birds and that they were most likely placed in the early morning hours on Saturday.

The suspected poison is dangerous to both humans and animals, police said.

Police are warning the public that if they find similar feeders or bait they should not handle them and contact Warminster Police using 911 to ensure proper removal.

The investigation is being worked in conjunction with Warminster Police, Warminster Animal Control, and the Pennsylvania SPCA.
