BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Couples who include a veteran or first responder can get a free wedding as Bucks County prepares to host its "Vows and Veterans” wedding service and bridal reception on Nov. 10.

The event is organized by Linda Bobrin, Bucks County Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans’ Court. It will take place in the courtyard of the Bucks County Courthouse Administration Building in Doylestown from noon to 2 p.m.

Couples who have at least one veteran or first responder are welcome to apply for a marriage license —which includes a $20 discount —between now and Nov. 6. Then they will qualify for a free wedding ceremony and reception.

The first five couples who sign up for the free wedding will receive a free night at HollyHedge Estate in Solebury, said Rachel Landsberg, the register's executive assistant and director of communications.

Former Under Secretary of the Army Patrick Murphy will officiate at the marriages, to be followed with a reception.
