Greater BucksMont Chamber Announces 2020 Scholarship Winners
Students from Area High Schools & Bucks County Community College Were Honored
The Greater BucksMont Chamber of Commerce has announced its 2020 scholarship winners. Each year, the Chamber awards three $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from William Tennent High School, Archbishop Wood High School and Middle Bucks Institute of Technology and the Chamber’s Women2Women group awards a $1,000 scholarship to a single working mom attending Bucks County Community College. The scholarships for high school seniors are funded by proceeds from the Chamber’s Annual Golf Outing and donations from the Greater Bucks-Mont community. The Women2Women scholarship is funded out of proceeds from the committee’s fundraising initiatives.
This year’s scholarship winners are:
Sara Catelli – William Tennent High School
Theresa Callaghan – Archbishop Wood High School
Nicholas Sturgis – Middle Bucks Institute of Technology
Lauren Gallen – Bucks County Community College (Women2Women Scholarship)
Each year, the Chamber’s Scholarship Committee solicits and receives scholarship applications, interviews candidates, and chooses the recipients. In addition, this is the third year that Chamber’s Women2Women group awarded a $1,000 scholarship to a single, working mom who is attending Bucks County Community College.
“Not even a pandemic can stop the important work of The Greater BucksMont Chamber of Commerce,” said Judy Doherty, Executive Director of the Chamber. “It is our honor to award scholarships to seniors from area high schools and to a student at Bucks County Community College. We wish them all the best in all their future endeavors.”
