Greater Jamison Business Association Breakfast Seminar Slated for June 16
Topic: "Getting Your News Noticed by the Media"

The Greater Jamison Business Association will hold its monthly breakfast seminar on Tuesday, June 16, from 7:30 a.m. until 9 a.m. at The Manor at York Town, 2010 York Road, Jamison, PA 18929. Special guest Jim Melwert, the new Suburban Bureau Chief for KYW NewsRadio, will discuss strategies to get your news noticed by the media. The discussion will be facilitated by Debbie Goetz, President of Debbie Goetz Media Connections.
The program is open to both member and non-member business professionals. The cost is $15 for non-members. Members and first time guests are free. Reservations should be made in advance by emailing info@gjba.org.

About Jim Melwert:
Jim Melwert is the Suburban Bureau chief for KYW Newsradio 1060, based at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pa. His professional career began in the KYW newsroom, as a desk assistant and production assistant.
After a stop at WKOK-AM in Sunbury, Pa., Melwert worked at the Radio Pennsylvania Network, in Harrisburg, as a reporter and as sports director. He returned to KYW Newsradio in 2007, as a general assignment reporter. He has won numerous awards in his career, including from the Pennsylvania AP Broadcasters and the Philadelphia Press Association.
A graduate of Perkiomen Valley High School, in Montgomery County, Melwert has a journalism degree from Temple University. Melwert lives with his wife and daughter in Collegeville, Pa.
About Debbie Goetz:
Debbie Goetz is the founder and president of Debbie Goetz Media Connections, LLC located in Jamison, PA. Debbie has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Temple University and over 25 years of business experience in New York City, Bucks and Montgomery Counties, and Philadelphia. Debbie’s interpersonal skills and her ability to connect with both media people and clients are an important part of her work.
Debbie is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, the Philadelphia Public Relations Association, the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, Business Networking International, Network Now and the Greater Jamison Business Association, where she serves on the Board of Directors. Debbie is actively involved with several non–profit organizations including the Ted Lindeman Outreach Foundation, where she is President of the Board of Directors, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County, Relay for Life, and Warwick Township Fire Company Capital Campaign.
