Arson Fire Destroys Community Bandshell

The fire that destroyed the historic Fire Chief's Memorial Bandshell in Elmwood Park on Aug. 28 has been ruled arson, officials announced Thursday afternoon. No arrests have yet been made, and the investigation remains ongoing. An investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal's Unit, along with the Norristown Police Department and the Norristown Fire Department, determined that the blaze began in a nearby porta-potty. Man Wanted For 3 Bank Robberies In Philadelphia: Authorities

The FBI and Philadelphia Police are on the hunt for a man involved in a series of bank robberies in Philadelphia. According to authorities, the man above robbed Citizens Bank branches at 2497 Aramingo Avenue and 2101 Cotman Ave., respectively, on Aug. 26 and Aug. 29. Then, he robbed a TD Bank at 6304 Roosevelt Boulevard Wednesday, authorities said. (Read More)
