WARMINSTER, PA —For months, the Warminster Township Police Department, like many in Lower Bucks County and the region, dealt with catalytic converter thefts.

And while those are still reported, the latest crime trend involves thefts from vehicles.

Neighboring municipalities like Horsham Township and Hatboro have recently issued alerts to residents about protecting their property and vehicles.

This week, Horsham's police chief issued an alert" after an "uptick" in crimes against property, and Hatboro police said they are seeking suspects who may be related to theft from vehicle crimes in Horsham and Warminster townships.

The police department is reminding residents to be vigilant and to lock their vehicles.

Police have received multiple reports from residents who say "numerous small items" have been taken from their vehicles in recent days.

The thefts have been mostly occurring overnight and primarily from vehicles that have been left unlocked.

Police ask that anyone seeing something suspicious should call the police department for further investigation.
