Mike's York Road Tavern Has Big Plans For 2024

WARMINSTER, PA —Mike's York Road Tavern is working out the kinks as it gets ready to enter its second month reopening under new ownership. And it has big plans for next year.

The rebranded Mike's Bar and Grill is back in business, reopening earlier this month after being closed for a year at its historic building located at 544 York Rd.

"Things are going well and we are making improvements every day," the tavern owners said. "We are excited for 2024."

Owners thanked everyone for their support and response to the eatery's recent soft opening.

The tavern plans to be open until 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

"Next, getting the old building and business fully back online fully integrated, and operational is a lot of work," owners said.

Owners said they increased staff from 50 employees to 77 employees in a week. Repairs, restocking, and retooling have also been done. The tavern also held its first banquet recently.

"We hired two banquet team members in addition to those we have. Reservations will also come fully online allowing us to schedule and serve you in the best way possible," owners said.

Owners said online ordering should be coming soon and gift cards are starting to become available as well.

And its famous Mike's Steak Bites and Ribs have also returned.

"The full dining, menu, event, and reservations will be available very soon. In mid-January, we will have entertainment, music, and Quizzo," owners said.

Built in the year 1730, the original stone part of the building is one of the oldest in Warminster township. It is believed the attic is haunted by the ghost of a girl named Penelope. Known for many years as the Warminster Hotel, was originally petitioned “to keep a house of entertainment for travelers and their horses."
