Philadelphia Eagles Face Formidable Foe: Philly Sports Chatter
The Philadelphia Eagles play their archrival New York Giants in the playoffs Saturday. The G-Men have turned their franchise around.

WARMINSTER, PA —This is a tough game.
Anyone who believes that the Philadelphia Eagles should cruise by the New York Giants in Saturday's NFL playoffs on their way to the NFC Championship Game should think again.
These G-Men aren't the roll-over-and-play dead Giants we all know and love. These Giants are formidable opponents. They must be taken very seriously.

Quarterback Daniel Jones is no longer the stumbling, bumbling fool who fell short of the end zone a couple of years back, making endless highlight reels and causing endless belly laughter.
He’s turned into an NFC version of Josh Allen. Ok, maybe not at that “elite” level —though some Giants threw that word around last week after his performance in beating the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card round.

That has to do with his coach, who coached Allen with the Buffalo Bills.
Brian Daboll has turned this franchise around in his first year. This team was the butt of jokes and the least of the NFC East. But now these Giants are playing with confidence and also with house money.
Jones is finally showing promise and potential after the team was ready to throw in the towel. And running back Saquon Barkley has once again become a force.
He’s recovered from injuries and he can now make moves that leave defensive players shaking their heads and quivering in their cleats.
It wasn’t a surprise that the Giants pulled off the upset against the Vikings. Kirk Cousins always chokes and the Vikings never get that far in the playoffs.
But it will be a surprise if the Giants beat the Eagles.
The Birds took both games during the season. It's often difficult to beat a team for the third time in one season.
But this is a home game and the Linc will be rocking Saturday night. The G-Men are bound to cave from the pressure and fan frenzy. They hate playing here.
And if the Eagles are healthy and quarterback Jalen Hurts has shaken off his shoulder injury, these Eagles should fly high toward the NFL Championship game next week.
Let's hope so. After posting such an impressive record and clinching the No. 1 seed, a loss would wash away all of this season's success. And no one in Philly wants to lose to the Giants.
