Police Officer Assault, Retail Thefts Top Warminster Crimes
An officer was kicked during one incident. Meanwhile, two catalytic converters were also swiped at the Warminster train station.
WARMINSTER, PA —A police officer was assaulted and police reported numerous thefts at retailers in the township over the past few weeks.
Those were some of the criminal incidents the Warminster Township Police Department released in its blotter Friday for the period of June 11 to June 24.

Disorderly Conduct and Harassment —Police were dispatched to the area of County Line Road and Norristown Road for a disorderly subject. After investigating, it was determined that an altercation occurred between some juveniles. Two juveniles —a 12-year-old from Hatboro and a 14-year-old from Hatboro —were cited with Disorderly Conduct and Harassment for their actions.
Retail Theft —Officers investigated a retail theft that reportedly occurred at the Wawa on Street Road at Mearns Road. A 19-year-old Warminster man was cited for the retail theft of store merchandise.

Theft and Receiving Stolen Property —Officers investigated a theft of a wallet that was left on a table at Wendy’s restaurant. After reviewing evidence, officers charged a 43-year-old Huntingdon Valley man with theft and receiving stolen property.
Retail Theft —Officers investigated a retail theft that reportedly occurred at the Walmart store located on Street Road at Jacksonville Road. A 24-year-old Hatboro man was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property.
Driving Under The Influence and Related Offenses Arrest —A police officer stopped a vehicle for traffic violation(s) in the area of Beech Street and Madison Ave. After making contact with the operator and investigating, a 38-year-old Hatboro man was arrested for driving under the influence and related offenses.
Disorderly Conduct and Harassment —Police were dispatched to a report of a road rage incident that had occurred in the area of Street Road and York Road. After investigating the incident, an 18-year-old Huntingdon Valley man was cited with disorderly conduct and harassment for his actions during the incident.
Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property Arrest —Officers investigated a retail theft that reportedly occurred at the Weiss Market Store located on York Road. After concluding the investigation, a 44-year-old Bristol man was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property.
Retail Theft —Officers investigated a retail theft that reportedly occurred at the Sportsman’s Warehouse store located on Street Road. A 50-year-old Newtown man was charged with theft.
Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer and Related Offenses Arrest —Police responded to a residence in the township for an unrelated investigation/warrant service. Upon arrival, Police were conducting the warrant service and speaking to subjects who were in the residence, a man on the scene was upset with the police presence at the property. While the warrant service was being conducted the 61-year-old Warminster man kicked one of the police officers. He was taken into custody for aggravated assault on police and related offenses. He was arraigned in front of the District Justice and bail was set at $10,000 unsecured.
Retail Theft Arrest —Officers investigated a retail theft that reportedly occurred at the Walmart Store located on Street Road at Jacksonville Road. A 37-year-old Warminster woman was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property.
Fraud, Theft, and Related Offenses Arrest —Officers investigated a fraud involving bad checks at the Costco Store located on Veteran’s Way. After completing the investigation a 50-year-old Levittown woman was charged with fraud, theft, and related offenses.
Disorderly Conduct and Harassment —Police were dispatched to a report of a minor traffic accident in the area of the Fulton Bank on York Road. While conducting the investigation and attempting to collect information from both drivers, one of the drivers, a 33-year-old Philadelphia man, was being uncooperative, yelling and cursing at the other driver. During the investigation, one man attempted to confront the other driver, causing the officer to have to restrain him. The man was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct and harassment.
Catalytic Converter Theft —Police were dispatched to the Warminster Train Station for the report of theft of two catalytic converters from buses that were parked in a fenced-in lot on the property. It is unclear at this time when the actual theft occurred since the buses had been parked for a bit. Police are looking into the matter.
Stolen Vehicle Investigation —Police were dispatched to take the report of a possible stolen vehicle. The complainant reported his White Ford E-150 work truck was taken sometime during the overnight hours of June 22 from an apartment complex located on the 600 block of East Street Road. The stolen vehicle was later found unoccupied in Philadelphia. Philadelphia Police recovered the vehicle at that time.
