Reports Of Stolen Guns From Cars In Bucks Co.

Guns were stolen from cars in separate incidents Monday in Bucks County, prompting local police to issue an important reminder.

Police in one Bucks County township say guns were stolen from cars in separate incidents Monday. The incidents have prompted police to issue a reminder to residents across the area: Properly secure your guns and do not leave them in your car.

According to Lower Southampton Township Police, a 9mm Glock 19 handgun was stolen from a car parked along the 300 block of Steel Road in Feasterville. The gun was removed from the center console of resident's vehicle, police said.

Another gun was reported stolen from a car on the same day. According to Lower Southampton Township Police, someone took a .380 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun from a car along the 1900 block of Grand Avenue.

"The Lower Southampton Police would like to remind the citizens of Lower Southampton and surrounding communities to properly secure your weapons and do NOT leave them in your vehicles. We would also like to remind citizens to lock your vehicles as theft is a crime of opportunity," police said in an announcement.
