Seniors Helping Seniors(R) of Bucks County Laces Up for the 2014 Walk to End Alzheimer's

Seniors Helping Seniors® of Bucks County is lacing up in support of the Alzheimer’s Association’s 2014 Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday, November 9, at Citizens Bank Park, 1 Citizens Bank Way, Philadelphia, PA. Join the Seniors Helping Seniors® team or walk on your own to help raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research and the care of those suffering with Alzheimer’s.

The Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk To End Alzheimer’s is the largest national fundraiser in which every dollar raised is dedicated toward research, education and services for those currently caught in the web of Alzheimer’s/Dementia. All proceeds benefit Alzheimer’s research and programs that enhance the care and support of individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s, their families and caregivers.

Not only does the walk support Alzheimer’s awareness, it also a fun event that supports those affect by Alzheimer’s disease and their loved ones. After the walk, there will be a tailgate party to allow the walkers to mingle and get to know one another. Last year, the Philadelphia Walk to End Alzheimer’s was one of the top 30 fundraisers in the country for the organization.

Event ceremonies will begin at 10:45 a.m., and the walk will follow at 11:00 a.m. To register for this year’s walk or to make a donation, visit alz.org and register for the Philadelphia walk. Registration will also be available the day of the event beginning at 9:00 a.m.

While there is no registration fee, each participant is expected to raise funds in order to increase awareness and one day find a cure for Alzheimer’s.
