SEPTA New Regional Rail Schedules Start

SEPTA has regional rail lines throughout Bucks and Montgomery counties.

PHILADELPHIA — SEPTA will roll out new regional rail line schedules throughout Bucks and Montgomery counties starting Sunday.

As part of SEPTA’s ongoing efforts to improve service reliability and better align train times with rider needs, new schedules for SEPTA’s Regional Rail lines will go into effect on Feb. 1.

SEPTA updates schedules with these changes four times a year.

The new schedules are designed to enhance service on several key lines, including additional trips on the Wilmington, Trenton, and Chestnut Hill East lines, and increased service frequency from Wayne Junction directly to the Philadelphia International Airport.

Beginning Monday, the changes will reflect implementation of the newly-acquired MARC fleet with planned operation on the West Trenton and Trenton Regional Rail lines.

Inclusion of these cars will increase the number of vehicles in service for the morning and evening rush and allow more cars per train.

This will help ease crowding conditions that persist on some trains as SEPTA works to complete federally-mandated repairs to the 50-year-old Silverliner IV fleet.
