SEPTA said in a statement that the signal issues were due to a failure in the communications system within the signal equipment at Wayne Junction, impacting the ability of the signals to communicate with the dispatch center.

Rail service was stopped around 5:15 p.m. Monday so crews could begin work before field personnel could manually throw the switches to move trains.

The Warminster line serves Hatboro and Warminster, among other towns.

The Trenton Line has stops in Bristol, Croydon, and Bensalem before heading to Philadelphia.

The West Trenton Line has stops at Yardley, Woodbourne, Langhorne, Neshaminy Falls, and Trevose stations in Lower Bucks County.
