Staples of Warrington Makes Back to School Better

For 3 Local Elementary Schools Over 1000 school supply kits donated for students

Staples of Warrington, located in Valley Square Shopping Center, at 1075 Main Street, Warrington, PA recently donated 1,068 school supply kits valued at $5,340 to three elementary schools in the Centennial School District. The donation was part of a fundraising initiative that Staples stores have launched across the country to raise funds for back-to-school supplies for students in their local communities. Shoppers at Staples were asked at checkout to donate a $5 box of 19 school supply items. Store manager Tom Pagan delivered the school supplies personally to all three schools.

The Warrington Staples worked in conjunction with The Greater BucksMont Chamber of Commerce and the Centennial Education Foundation and was able to donate the school supply kits to McDonald Elementary School, William Davis Elementary School and Willow Dale Elementary School, all located in Centennial School District.

“I’m very grateful to our customers and colleagues who were so happy and eager to donate,” said Warrington Staples store manager Tom Pagan. “Before you knew it, we were able to donate over a thousand school supply kits. I am especially grateful to Judy Doherty, Executive Director, The Greater BucksMont Chamber of Commerce and Carolyn Fisher, Executive Director, Centennial Education Foundation, for introducing me to the principals of the three schools.”

Catherine A. Perkins, Ed. D., principal, Willow Dale Elementary School, stated, “Willow Dale Elementary is very fortunate to have Staples as a partner to support the learning needs of our students. The pandemic has created a hardship for so many of our families, and through the donation of supplies, we are able to have a great start to the school year with supplies for all students who are in need. A big thank you to Tom Pagan and Staples Warrington for making a difference in our community!"

LaVonda Daniels, Principal, Davis Elementary School, remarked, “Davis Elementary is grateful for the generous donations provided by Tom Pagan and Staples of Warrington. What makes our community special is the kindness and support on display when we help one another when someone is in need. We look forward to providing these wonderful supplies to our students and families. Giving back is one of the greatest forms of service. Thank you for supporting our Davis Dolphins!"

Ernesto Ortiz, Principal, McDonald Elementary School, shared, “The McDonald Elementary School community is extremely grateful for the support of Mr. Tom Pagan and Staples 544. Ensuring that every student enters school with their school supplies, ready to learn, will support our school and district's efforts to meet the needs of our students and community. Thank you again to Tom and Staples 544 for their support.”

The start of the school year is a few weeks away and Staples is still accepting donations. For more information call the store at 215-343-3251 or visit https://www.staplesconnect.com and enter “Warrington” in the store locator box.
