WARMINSTER, PA —It was a speck in the sky.

But anyone in Lower Bucks County and surrounding areas who noticed that speck early Sunday afternoon got excited when they realized it was a B-2 Stealth Bomber.

And then, when the U.S. Air Force aircraft caught everyone's attention, some wondered why it was hovering so low around Warminster, Richboro, Southampton, Newtown and other towns where it was spotted and reported.

"Anyone know why this is circling Warminster?" Maureen Klotz Sacco posted on the Warminster Community Group Facebook page.

The stealth was actually making a flyby over Lincoln Financial Field for the Philadelphia Eagles game against the Tennessee Titans. Those watching the game on Fox saw it pass by during the game introductions.

The sighting drew excitement from many who posted on the page. Some basically dropped everything to shoot video of the aircraft.

The U.S. Air Force’s B-2 stealth bomber is a key component of the nation’s long-range strike arsenal, and one of the most survivable aircraft in the world. Its unique stealth characteristics allow it to penetrate the most sophisticated enemy defenses, according to Northrop Grumman's website. WATCH VIDEO OF IT BELOW.

Sacco told Patch Sunday night that she and her family were going Christmas tree shopping at the corner of York and Bristol roads. She shot the picture by Archbishop Wood.

"It was very cool," Sacco said. "It was quite a site to see fly overhead while picking out our tree. Then, about 15 minutes later, we were pulling up at home and it flew right over our heads. People saw us taking pictures and checking it out and they pulled over to check it out."

Sacco said she sees a lot of military aircraft when she spends summers in Cape May.

"But this was a first for me to have a stealth fly directly overhead," she said. "It was so much quieter than many of the planes and helicopters I have seen before."
