Meanwhile, PECO and Warminster Township Parks and Recreation have teamed up for a free tree event at the Warminster Community Park from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on April 26 for Arbor Day.

Residents can reserve a tree and have it mailed or come to the event at the park and pick up a tree.

The energy-saving trees program is designed to help customers understand where to plant trees on their property for maximum energy savings.

This program is made possible by a partnership between the Arbor Day Foundation and PECO.

By planting trees around your home, you can add to your property value, reduce your carbon footprint, improve air quality and more effectively catch storm water runoff. When fully grown, these trees also can help reduce the amount of energy your home uses. Learn more ways to improve your home's energy efficiency here.

PECO is proud to sponsor this program and provide you with one free tree. In less than 10 minutes, you can explore this program and reserve your tree. Click on the link here to do so.
