Warminster Day Celebration Expands For 20th Year

The event takes place at Warminster Community Park with 90 vendors, triple the amount of previous years, township officials said.

WARMINSTER, PA —The celebration is expected to be bigger and better than ever.

When residents gather for Warminster Day on Saturday, they'll see more vendors than ever before.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the annual event and organizers said residents are in for a treat.

"We have 90 vendors, three times more than before," Parks and Recreation Director Jessica Fox told Warminster Township Supervisors at its recent meeting to tout the celebration and highlight the schedule and festivities.

Warminster Day takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Warminster Community Park at 350 E. Bristol Rd.

The event features all-ages entertainment including two bands —the Cherry Lane Band and River of Dreams —along with hatchet throwing, a photo booth, a K-9 demonstration, First Responder vehicles, and more.

Children's entertainment includes inflatable rides, Bucks Bubbles, Midway Games, the Elmwood Park Zoo, face painting and balloon art, a drum circle, library story time and activities, a magic show, Cool Beans music, and crafting with the Girl Scouts.

There will also be more than 90 vendors and information booths.

Some of the food vendors include Chic Fil A, Foxy's Funnels, Kona Ice, Comfort Kitchen, Nutz About Popcorn, hot dogs, and pretzels.

The schedule of events include:

  • All-Day Activities —11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Main Tent —DJ/MC (11 a.m.-Noon, 2-2:45 p.m.), Cherry Lane Band (Noon-2 p.m.), River of Dreams (2:45-4 p.m.)
  • Children's Tent —Rhythm Village (11:15 a.m.-Noon), Cool Beans Music (12:15-1 p.m.), Elmwood Park Zoo on Wheels (1:15-2 p.m.), Warminster Library Story Time (2:15-2:45 p.m., 3:30-4 p.m.), and A-Z Magic Show (2:45-3:30 p.m.).

Sponsors this year are PECO, Gilmore & Associates, Christ's Home, DaVinci Eye Care, Flager & Associates PC, QNB, Automotive Training Center, O'Neil, First Bank, Citadel Credit Union, WRDV Radio, and Friends of the Warminster Library, among others.

Fox also drew accolades for the work she's done as director.

"You've done a phenomenal job," Supervisors Vice Chairwoman Kathy Frescatore said. "I love the innovative ideas. It's things that people don't see every day. You've got great ideas and a lot of fun for everybody."
