Warminster Food Bank Hosting Distribution Event

They'll be handing out 27-pound boxes of groceries with about 20 meals in them.

WARMINSTER, PA — A food bank in Warminster will be handing out free groceries to people who need them on Oct. 24.

The Warminster Food Bank, partnering with Giant Food Stores, Warminster Rotary and Nativity of Our Lord Church will be giving out the "grocery stimulus" boxes from 9 a.m.-noon that day at the church, located at 605 Street Rd. in Warminster.

It is available to anyone in need as long as supplies last. A 27-pound box of groceries will contain more than 20 meals, along with a fresh loaf of bread.

The event will be held rain or shine and feature safe, no-contact pickup, in which volunteers will place a box directly into each recipient's trunk as they drive through.

The Warminster Food Bank, at 75 Downey Dr., is accepting donations of nonperishable food items any time it is open. Food assistance also is available there by appointment.
