Warrington Township Board of Supervisors Approves 2022 Budget

No Tax Increase for 2022 & Homestead Exemption Remains

Warrington Township Board of Supervisors announced that it has approved its 2022 Operating and Capital Budget without raising taxes. The 2022 budget will also allow the Homestead Exemption to remain in place.

The 2022 Proposed Budget presents a spending plan of $16.3 million dollars in the General Fund, the primary account for the Township. 2022 proposed revenues nearly match the appropriations and there is a fund balance of $5.9 million in the General Fund that can be used to make sure that next year’s expenditures can be met. The Township has 12 funds in the budget, including Debt Service, Highway Aid, Internal Service, a number of capital project-type funds and the Utilities Proceeds and Tax Stabilization Fund, which was created as a result of the Township’s sale of its water and sewer systems in 2019.

The 2022 budget will continue Warrington Township’s reinvestment in existing services, equipment and infrastructure and reinforces the Township’s commitment to maintaining these items. Some of the anticipated capital projects for 2022 include:
