Warrington Township And New York Jets Running Back

And Central Bucks South Alum Josh Adams Breaks Ground on DocterAdams® Community Park in His Hometown.

Warrington Township officials, special guests and New York Jets running back Josh Adams celebrated the groundbreaking for DocterAdams® Community Park onWednesday July 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., at 2235 Oxford Road, Warrington, PA 18976. The location was formerly known as Willow Knoll Park and the groundbreaking is the start of an upgrade that will enhance the entirety of the existing park for the benefit of the community.

The upgrade is the brainchild of Adams, a Central Bucks High School South alum and Warrington native who spent many hours playing in Willow Knoll Park as a kid and who always felt that it needed an upgrade. His way of giving back to Warrington Township is to help makeDocterAdams® Community Park a reality. The park’s name is derived from the nickname Adams’ CB South Football teammates gave him in high school.

“My goal is to give back to my neighborhood, and I think that re-development of the park would not only be beneficial for the neighborhood but for the entire community.” said Adams.“I want toinspire kids to go out and play, train and exercise and feel good about their surroundings. The re-development can help cultivate their future in a positive way.”

AboutDocterAdams® Community Park:

DocterAdams® Community Park is the brainchild of New York Jets running back and Central Bucks South High School alum Josh Adams, nicknamed DocterAdams®. The Park will be situated on the site of the former Willow Knoll Park. When Adams was growing up, the park was previously called “The Muse” which typically denotes a source of inspiration. Yet in his former neighborhood (primarily low to moderate income), “The Muse” had a very negative connotation. Adams spent days and nights playing at the park, which was always in lackluster condition. It is now his desire to inspire kids in the community togo out and play, train and exercise in the park and be proud of their surroundings.
