Wearing Green And Eating Green: Eagles Fans Fired Up For Playoffs
Philadelphia Eagles' fans are ready for Saturday's home playoff game. Even Rocky is getting into the act. Bakeries are benefitting too.

WARMINSTER, PA —The Rocky statue outside the Art Museum in Philadelphia is sporting a Jalen Hurts jersey. The city's skyline is now dressed in green. And every bakery in the region has crafted some sort of tasty treat representing the Philadelphia Eagles.
As the Birds get ready for Saturday's playoff game against the New York Giants, fans in the Delaware Valley are wearing green, seeing green, and eating green.
Lochel's Bakery in Hatboro has made cookies with the names of some of the favorite Eagles players: Jalen Hurts, Jason Kelce, Fletcher Cox, A.J. Brown, Lane Johnson and Devonta Smith.

The cookies feature white icing and are trimmed in green with green icing for the players' names and jersey numbers.
"They're flying out the door," Cailin Driscoll, the bakery's shift manager told Patch Friday. "They're going really well. We're excited about the Eagles game and all of the hype."

The bakery is also featuring chocolate mint chip cookie sandwiches and "Screaming Green Cream" pastries.
Driscoll is also hoping that the Birds make a return to the Super Bowl.
"That will definitely benefit us," she said.
Other bakeries are benefitting from the Birds bonanza.
Bucks County's own Owowcow has whipped up a new "Philly Special" for Birds fans.
In collaboration with Dock Street Brewery in Philadelphia, the handheld ice cream footballs are filled with sweet honey cream ice cream, a Dock Street Brewery Porter fudge, and layers of handmade soft pretzel cookie dough and dark chocolate.
The ice cream footballs are available for a limited time only in all Owowcow shops and on DoorDash. They started selling on Wednesday.
Fans who aren't eating green are sporting jerseys or even decorating their houses like it's Christmas.
Larry Glowacki Jr. has decorated his Langhorne home every time the Philadelphia Eagles have made the playoffs over the past 18 years.
Philadelphia bars are all decked out in green too.
Tinsel Takes Flight is filled with sports memorabilia, original art installations, sports murals, photo opportunities, and light installations. The pop-up features sports-inspired and Philly team-inspired creations, such as Hurts So Good, Weapon X, Swole Batman, Philly Especial, The Graham Sacker, and The Hungry Dog.
Schools across the region were showing their team spirit Friday.
In the Neshaminy School District, teachers and staff wore jerseys and Eagles green and held pep rallies to cheer on their team. Other schools also held similar celebrations.
Even the Eagles have coined a phrase specifically for this game and slapped it on T-shirts.
"It's a Philly Thing," the phrase says.
And that phrase comes from the fact that the Linc will be in a frenzied state and the fans will be up to their trash-talking tactics.
Former Giants quarterback Eli Manning will be at the game.
Eagles Nation posted on Facebook what Manning had said about going to Philadelphia.
“I promised myself I’d never go to another football game in Philly...but I’m gonna break that. I can’t wait to see how many double birds I get. Probably will set a record,” he stated.
A billboard On Route 95 South just after exit 19 is welcoming Manning back to the City of Brotherly Love.
