William Tennent High School Names New Football Coach

The Centennial School District Board has approved the hiring of Colin Leach. He served as the special teams coordinator at the high school.

WARMINSTER, PA —William Tennent High School has a new head football coach.

The hiring of Colin Leach was approved by the Centennial School District at its school board meeting last week.

John Creighton, the CAA director of athletics and activities at William Tennent High School, told Patch that Leach is the perfect addition to the school district and football team.

"Colin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience at the high school level both in the Suburban One League and Philadelphia Catholic League," Creighton said. "He is motivated and determined to bring a new energy and positive experience for all within the football program."

Creighton said he's looking forward to Leach and his staff starting voluntary workouts in the coming weeks.

Leach has had several stops so far in his coaching career:

  • Offensive line coach and then offensive coordinator at Bishop Mcdevitt High School (D12) under Pat Manzi.
  • The offensive line and offensive coordinator at Cheltenham High School under Ryan Nase.
  • The offensive line and special teams coordinator at William Tennent High School.
  • The Tight Ends coach at Council Rock South High School.
  • Assistant coach at Pennridge High School

In terms of playing experience, Leach played center and defensive end at Bishop McDevitt High School (D12) and was a first-team All-Catholic and first-team All-City selection. He graduated in 2011.

Leach played collegiate football under Jim Clements at Delaware Valley.
