William Tennent High School Will Perform South Pacific on April 17 and 18, 2015

The show's story is drawn from James A. Michener's Pulitzer-Prize-winning novel Tales of the South Pacific.

WARMINSTER, PA---William Tennent High School (WTHS) will perform the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical South Pacific on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18, 2015. Set on a tropical island during World War II, the musical tells the story of love during wartime. WTHS Musical Director Julie Flack, Producer Janemarie Cloutier, and Assistant Director Albert Catarro are coordinating the efforts of more than 100 students: a cast of approximately 70, a stage crew, and members of the orchestra pit.

The show’s story is drawn from James A. Michener’s Pulitzer-Prize-winning novel Tales of the South Pacific. The musical’s beautiful collection of songs contains the iconic tunes: “Some Enchanted Evening,” “Bali Hai,” and “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair.”

“The performance is sure to be dazzling,” said Flack. “We are fortunate to have a gifted cast of singers, musicians, and performers who are being assisted by talented instructors such as Choreographer Ajah Krzywonos and WTHS Band Director and Director of the Warminster Symphony Orchestra Joseph Lovecchio.”
