Willow Dale's April 22, 2015, PALLs Meeting Spotlights Drama Club

This musical revue features popular tunes from the 1950s, clever characters, and hilarious punch lines.

WARMINSTER---- Willow Dale Elementary School will host a Parents as Lead Learners (PALLs) meeting on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at 7:00 P.M. This month’s meeting will shine the spotlight on the Willow Dale Drama Club, which will present At the Bandstand. Students are looking forward to showcasing their talents in a high-energy production that follows the events that occur after TV host Rockin Robin announces an on-air dance-off to find new dancers to join the Bandstand Kids.

This musical revue features popular tunes from the 1950s, clever characters, and hilarious punch lines. Songs include: “Rockin’ Robin,” “Save the Last Dance for Me,” “Johnny Angel,” “Sh-Boom,” “Splish Splash,” “Shake, Rattle and Roll,” and “Great Balls of Fire.”

Students who participate in drama club are required to audition for the club’s annual performance. The activity helps to build confidence and improve speaking, listening and performance skills among its members who are students in grades 4 and 5.

The curtain goes up on At the Bandstand at 7:00 P.M. on April 22, 2015, at Willow Dale Elementary School, 720 Norristown Road, Warminster, PA. The show is free of charge and concessions will be sold to raise money for the Willow Dale Drama Club.
