World Series Pep Rally Bolstered By William Tennent Marching Band

The Centennial School District band played at Chickie's & Pete's in Philadelphia before the Phillies' Game 3 at Citizens Bank Park Tuesday.

WARMINSTER, PA —The William Tennent High School Marching Band is certainly in the Phillies World Series spirit.

The band performed at a Fox News pep rally Tuesday morning at Chickie's & Pete's in South Philadelphia before the Phillies host Game 3 Tuesday night against the Houston Astros at Citizens Bank Park.

"Centennial School District and William Tennent High School were thrilled to have the opportunity for our band to support the Philadelphia Phillies' successful season and march toward the World Series Championship," Schools Superintendent Dana Bedden said.

Bedden noted that throughout October, several Centennial schools held pep rallies to support the Phillies.

"CSD Board of School Directors, administration, faculty, staff, and students extend our support and well wishes for the team as they pursue their third World Series title," Bedden said.

Some school activities included:

  • Klinger Middle School held a Phillies Spirit Day last month where students and staff wore Phillies gear and red.
  • McDonald Elementary School held a Phillies Pep Rally where students sang "Take Me Out to the Ballgame."
  • Davis Elementary School wore Phillies Phillies gear and colors to support the team during a school day.
